*Sighs* I lament how the retaliation arc could have been so SO much better than it turned out. For what’s it’s worth, I’m neutral on it now and I think the first part was okay! Still, it could’ve been great 😓

Ah yes, and gotta love the healthy dose of “childhood best friends” in both sets, too.

Maehara is familiar enough with Isogai’s house that he seems to regularly visit (source: the “He’s Prince Charming” sequence with the goldfish)

And Sakakibara is the only one who picked up Asano when his father hit him across the classroom. Wouldn’t surprise me if Asano went to his house when the Principal was being extra draining, even if it was just to recover mental strength and be somewhere safe for the night.
